herbivorous species are Spotted Deer (Axis axis), Sambar
(Cervus unicolor) and Black Buck (Antelope cervicapra) are occasionally found

The sanctuary is
covered by dense, impenetrable mangrove forests. Casuarina
equisetifolia Pongamia gladra Calotropis gigantean Cassia auriculata
Thespesia populnea Ipomaea biloba,Leptadenia reticulata, Spinifex squarrosus,
Spinifex littoreus, Pongamia pinnate, Prosopis juliflora Banyan, Peepul,
Margosa, Tumma , Mango, Palmyra, Date-palm etc, are the contribution to the
flora of the forest.

The wild park is
also home for reptails like Cobra, Russels Viper, Water Snake, Rat
Snake and Tree Snake, Garden Lizard (Calotes versicolor), Wall
Lizard(Hemidactylus species) and land tortoise (Testudo elegans). The
amphibian fauna, the common frog (Rana species) and in the mangrove forests
the amphibian otter or water cat (Lutra lutera) and the estuarine crocodiles
are present.

Wild life is not
completed until birds contribute to any wild life. There is no scarity
in birds life in the forest, main speics of birds found in the park are
listed as Crested Serpant Eagle, Indian Roller, Wagtails, Pipits.

There is no
particular time to visit the place the wild park. One can
enjoy the sanctuary beauty mainly in the period between october and February
|
