Srikakulam tourist places

Previously a part of Vishakapatnam, Srikakulam was previously called Chicacole. Best known for its excellent quality of muslin, you will also find handloom weaved cloth, which is the main cottage industry of the town. The town has its own must-visits, one of which is the Jumma Masjid, which was built by Sher Muhammad Khan and another being the Kotisvaraswami Temple. 

Attractions :

Srimukhalingam Temple :

The prominent Srimukhalingeswara Temple was built as early as the 9th century. The temple possesses some brilliantly gorgeous sculptures typical to the India-Aryan trend. 

Arasavalli :

One of the rare sun god temples in the country, Arasavalli is embellished by the beautiful and spectacular Suryanarayanaswami Temple. The only other famous sun god temple apart from Suryanarayanaswami is in
Orissa. This ancient sun god temple is a magnet to a colossal number to followers from all around the country. It is located about 1.6 kilometers away from Srikakulam.

Srikurmam :

Another renowned temple located about 12 miles away from Srikakilam town, Srikurmam is a temple devoted to Lord Vishnu in the avatar of Srikurmam which happens to be the avatar of a tortoise. Hence the deity of this temple came to be known as Srikurmanatha. The temple is considered to be very sacred and is the only and most vital temple of Lord Vishnu within the Kurmavathara, in the entire country.

Srikakulam doest offer very luxurious hotels but you will be able to rent rooms at modest and comfortable hotels such as Hotel Nagavali and Vijetha Inn.
